I was at Optina Monastery (Optina Pustyn - or Optina hermitage) yesterday. It took about 4,5 hours just to get there ;) It's a very calm place. Here's a link to a wiki's article about it.

I made some photos. 17 of them are under this cut (image-heavy, not that good for dial-up users).

we finally got snow here (it was warm for almost a month here). so I made several pictures.

My photos. Made today, early in the morning. Had to walk for half an hour to get to that forest.
It was surreal, beautiul and very wet (there was a heavy rain yesterday, so everything was with tiny teardrops of rain. cute, but still very wet).

Hi, it's my birthday today :)
